As someone who has experienced fertility challenges myself, I know how overwhelming this can feel.

If you are in the thick of it, please know you are not alone.

If you have found your way here because you would like some guided support, I want you to know that there is a lot we can work on from a nutritional perspective, including lifestyle and dietary changes, plus targeted practitioner-only supplements to support both egg quality and sperm health to help with embryo development.

Ideally, we would work together for 4+ months before you start trying to conceive (TTC). But everyone’s timeline is different, and any time spent making changes can be well worth it.

Already had blood tests? As a clinical nutritionist I can review these and help you make sense of your results in plain language. A heads up that clinical nutritionists are trained to look at optimal ranges, not standard reference ranges, so our views on your results may be a little different to the reference ranges you see on your test results. If we need more information, I can also recommend further tests to give us a full picture of your health, including your hormonal health, so your plan is shaped around you.

I support clients from the early planning stages of TTC right through to assisted reproductive technology (ART) and IVF treatment.

My support doesn’t stop at a positive test. I also work with clients throughout their pregnancy and into the postnatal period, helping you nourish yourself and your baby through each stage.

In 2026, I have had clients with PMOS (formerly PCOS) and endometriosis welcome healthy babies into the world. Nothing brings me more joy that receiving messages from happy parents and photos of their beautiful babies.

Did you know that male and female factors contribute almost equally to fertility? That is why I support everyone on the journey, whatever your family looks like

FAQs
  • How long before trying to conceive should I start working with a clinical nutritionist?

Ideally 4+ months, as this allows time to support egg and sperm development. That said, everyone’s timeline is different, and any time spent making changes is worthwhile.

  • Do you support me during pregnancy and after birth?

Yes. I work with clients through pregnancy and the postnatal period, with nutrition support tailored to each stage. I work alongside your obstetrician, midwife or GP, not in place of.

  • Can nutrition support IVF and ART?

Nutrition and lifestyle changes may help to support egg, sperm and embryo quality, and your overall health during treatment. I work alongside your fertility specialist, not instead of them. Unfortunately in life, there are no guarantees, so nutrition can’t promise a particular IVF outcome, but it can help give your body the best possible foundation for treatment.

  • Do both partners need to attend?

Not necessarily, but because male and female factors contribute almost equally to fertility, supporting both partners can make a real difference. Couples receive 10% off the initial and first follow-up appointments. Reach out to admin@katiehopcraft.com.au for a discount code to apply at checkout.

  • Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. I see clients in person at Uprise Health in Richmond, Melbourne, and via telehealth Australia-wide.
